Curated by: Comrade Winston
For the first edition of Curated By, Comrade Winston shares a selection drawn from years of collecting and playing vinyl.
After years spent digging through record stores, personal collections and forgotten corners of electronic music, Comrade Winston has developed a sound shaped by careful selection and a deep understanding of vinyl culture. Across appearances for Vault Sessions, Reaktor and more late-night sessions, he keeps his sets firmly rooted in on a careful selection, tension, and records that stand the test of time.
1. Planetary Assault Systems – Function 4
A dubby, hypnotic tool from Luke Slater, tripped out to the max. Built on a minimal, driving groove with subtle layers. Designed for long transitions and deep club moments.
- Psyk – Resonant Modulation (Erik Luebs Remix)
I’ve been keeping my ear to the ground for everything Erik Luebs has been putting out lately. His productions are incredibly well-crafted, built around minimal structures that still manage to stick with you like an earworm. This one is a remix of Psyk on his excellent Non Series imprint.
- Vincent Watson – Aurelon (Jerome Reshape)
An incredible remix from the late Jerome— rest in peace. The track builds around flowing arpeggios that gradually take over the space, creating a warm, immersive pull. Every time those patterns come in, it hits in a way that completely draws you in.
