For the second edition of Curated By, Slin shares a selection of some modern new school records.

Slin is a raw, honest groove seeker based in Berlin, Germany. Blending the sounds that started a couple of decades ago with modern, on-point techno, he stays fully committed to a vinyl-only approach and a deep respect for the roots of the genre. His selection reflects a balance between timeless influence and forward-thinking energy on the dancefloor.

  1. Viels – PLM

A moody, dub-infused cut that feels both gentle and elegant. I can easily picture myself playing it during a long set, especially about an hour in, when people are slowly settling into the groove and the energy on the dance floor starts to build. This is exactly the kind of track I want to hear.

  1. Sub Basics – Maneuver 02 B2

A straightforward, minimalist, dubbed-out cut that sets the tone for the night. Tracks like this are easy to overlook, yet they can be incredibly effective in a club setting. Sometimes, it’s the simplest tools that make the biggest impact on the dance floor.

  1. Joe Milli – Mantra

This one caught me by surprise. It’s hard to pin down to a single genre, but I’d describe it as tribal, bouncy, and infused with a wide range of world music influences. The record was gifted to me the last time I played in London at Club Palais, so a special shoutout to Joe Milli for this gem. Be sure to check out the rest of the EP as well, it’s absolutely incredible.
